Qualifications

BA(hons)2.1, post grad dip SW (1993), MA psychotherapy (2009) accredited Core Process Psychotherapist (2010), UKCP registered and accredited to work with children and adults. Certificate in mindfulness based supervision UKCP and ACPP registered supervisor. Post qualifying diploma in counselling children and adolescents.

I have a graduate certificate in Dramatherapy and trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the the Scottish Institute, Edinburgh, CBT and DBT within the NHS.I have trained and worked as a practice teacher with MA social work students, and I have a management supervision certificate obtained whilst managing and supervising staff in multi-disciplinary community mental health teams. I have a qualification in working with sexual violence and a qualification in mindfulness-based supervision in line with UKCP requirements for the registering of supervising psychotherapists.

Recent training and CPD includes:
European Society for Trauma and Dissociation advanced modules working therapeutically with complex trauma and dissociation, including dissociative identity disorder.
Understanding and working with sexual violence sixty hours OCN through the Women's Rape crisis and childhood sexual abuse centre.
The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships 'developing skills in couples therapy' summer school
Trauma and the family constellation, Franz Ruppert, Lisbon.

I started training in Core Process Psychotherapy with a foundation year in Edinburgh in 2003, I then went on to study at the Karuna Institute, Devon, for four more years, seeing clients within the NHS and privately under weekly supervision. I accredited and registered with UKCP after seven years contemplative and inspiring training.

My practice is governed by the ethical framework defined by the UKCP and the Karuna Institute, which includes strict guidelines on confidentiality and ensures competent practice through professional clinical supervision.
